LEAP is the name for our program at Lincoln Elementary, which serves students from 1st through 5th grade. OASES goes to LEAP Monday through Friday, and there up to 16 volunteer mentors per day. As a mentor, you will generally be in a classroom of ~20 students and an EBAYC staff, and the classrooms are usually single grade level.

A Typical Day at LEAP

  • 3:00/3:30*: Meet at the RSF

  • 3:15/3:45*: Leave for School Site

  • 3:45: Arrive on Site

  • 3:45 – 4:30: Recess

  • 4:30 – 5:40: Homework Help

  • 5:40 – 5:50: Snack/Pick Up

  • 5:50 – 6:00: Debrief

  • 6:00 – 6:15: Announcements

  • 6:15: Head back to Berkeley

  • 7:00 (or earlier): Arrive back at Berkeley
