Elementary Event

Join us for an elementary event hosted at the school sites each semester! We offer support setting up a Halloween festival in the Fall semester and a Spring Festival in the Spring semester. Help prepare games and creative activities, and (if you come during Halloween) dress up in your best costumes!

Volunteer Socials

We host various club socials throughout the semester. Keep an eye out for Instagram and email updates for specific dates and details. Bond with your fellow mentors through pumpkin painting, movie nights, karaoke, and more!

Our alumni network is a vibrant community of former mentors who continue to support OASES' mission and stay connected to the organization long after they’ve completed their time as volunteers. Alumni engage in ongoing professional development, networking opportunities, and mentorship for current volunteers and students. By fostering these lasting relationships, our alumni help strengthen the OASES community and contribute to creating a brighter future for Oakland’s youth.

Our end-of-semester Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is a heartfelt celebration of the time, energy, and dedication our volunteers have put into making a difference. It’s a night to relax, reflect, and connect with fellow volunteers, all while enjoying free food and great company. We want to show our gratitude for the incredible impact you’ve made throughout the year, and this dinner is our way of saying "thank you" for your hard work and commitment!
